When i say I make everything from scratch, I mean it.
There are so many steps but here is a few of them on how to make hoops from the start.
Stripping copper
Coiling the copper into a hoop shape
Cutting the copper
Hammering it out
Drilling the ear pin holes
Hand cutting the leather fringe after I rip up a leather jacket
And i do all this while dying my hair

The Hammered H8 Hoops are very special to me.
I make these hoops when im angry, upset, sad, frustrated, etc. They help me get all those feeling out in a very healthy way by pounding away at the metal.
And at the end of it I have something beautiful to look at and be proud of.

Omg! I just found the first pair of bone hoops I ever made while unpacking!
They were created with $1 store hoops and found bones

These aren't all the original bones bc I have lost some and broke some over the years of wearing them, but all the original bones were chicken vertebrae, hahaha. Now, there is a couple of chicken vertebrae left and mostly opossum. Maybe a small raccoon in there, too.

These were made in 2013 while I was living in New Orleans, I had no idea the path these hoops were gonna take me down when I made these.

I had been making jewelry with all sorts of other things since 2010, but bones were introduced 2013. I don't even think I had an ig account then, hahahaha
I feel like I should frame these babies!
